Thousands without power after crash in Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – More than 2,000 customers were left in the dark Thursday after a crash left power lines down across East North Street in Greenville.

The crash happened just after 10 p.m. near Twelve Oaks.

According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, East North Street may not reopen until mid-day Friday while crews from Duke Energy work to repair the damage.

The outage impacted 2,141 customers.

Anyone who drives in the area is asked to use detours set up around the area.
