Trailer used to raise money for child burn victims stolen in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON CO., SC (WSPA) – A trailer used to help raise money for young burn victims in Anderson County was stolen from the Townville Fire Department.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said the trailer has a large red metal sign with “#17” on the front and two large white signs on the sides.

Deputies say the trailer was taken sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning from the Townville Fire station on Highway 24 and signs on the trailer may have been removed.

The trailer belongs to the Anderson County Burned Children’s Association and contained cans worth $3,700. The money raised with those cans is used to help with the medial costs for children in the county who have been burned.

Anyone with information on the trailer is asked to call the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office at 864-260-4400.
