Trooper crashes in Laurens Co. chase


FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. (WSPA) — A trooper has reportedly crashed after a chase in Laurens County.

Deputies are responding to the crash, said Lt. Judy Stiles with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened around 8:40 p.m. Friday on Park Road near Nutty Drive.

7 News has reached out to the S.C. Highway Patrol for more information.

Crew at the scene says the trooper was not hurt, but the patrol vehicle is burned up and the woods are still smoldering from the fire shortly before 10 p.m.

Fountain Inn Fire Department is on the scene.
