Two hurt after sidewalk collapse in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON CO. (WSPA) — Two people were hurt after a sidewalk collapsed Monday outside a dance studio.

Part of a sidewalk collapsed at the entrance to Upstate Dance on North Main Street.

Honea Path Fire Department responded to the collapse.

Crew at the scene tell us that one person was taken to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries and another person is also seeking medical care for minor injuries.

Honea Path firefighters say 35 people were removed from the building.

Crews are working to secure the floor to prevent further injuries.
