UNION Co., S.C. (WSPA) — A Union County man has been charged with failure to bury an animal.

Union Codes Enforcement charged Timothy Scott Davis, 38, of Buffalo.

A warrant says animal control was called to assist with a cow outside a fence earlier this month.

Officers say a dead cow was in plain sight. The dead animal was “decayed and down to mostly bones and skin,” according to the warrant.

Two cows were also down and unable to get up, the warrant says.

A check of criminal records revealed this isn’t the first time Davis has allegedly mistreated animals.

An arrest record from the S.C. Law Enforcement Division shows he was convicted of ill treatment of animals in March 2007.

Davis was also charged with disorderly conduct in September 1998.
