LAURENS Co., S.C. (WSPA) – Lottery officials say a Clinton husband was preparing to grill steaks when his wife interrupted with a “burning” question.
She wanted to know if she had won the lottery.
The couple went to a lottery retailer to double check and learned they won $250,000.
Dinner may have been ruined, but they’re making plans for a vacation.
Lottery officials say the woman won one of the top prizes in the Gold & Silver Jackpot game.
Three top prizes remain in the game, according to lottery officials.
The odds of winning are 1 in 660,000.
The winning ticket was sold at The Home Store in Clinton.
Officials say the store will receive a $2,500 commission for selling the winning ticket.
