The American Culinary Federation is honoring a Wofford College chef this month. He’ll be honored as the “Professional Chef of the Year” in his Ohio hometown chapter.

Chef Stephan C. Baity has been featured on Food Network multiple times for his elaborate fruit and vegetable sculpting skills. In 2015 he competed on “Cake Wars” and won first place. In 2017 he was featured on another show for his pumpkin carving skills called “Halloween Wars: Hayride of Horror”.

Baity’s advice for carving the perfect Halloween pumpkin is to choose a pumpkin based on its shape, then decide which emotion the pumpkin to channel before coming up with a design.
