Woman accused of burglarizing 2 homes in Union Co. arrested in NC

UNION COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – A Spartanburg County woman was arrested Saturday in Lake Lure, NC on charges out of Union County.

According to a news release, Union County Sheriff David Taylor announced that Olivia Arnold Stephenson, 41, of Chesnee, was arrested by Lake Lure Police Department on burglary-2nd degree and grand larceny charges from the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

The charges stem from a burglary at a home in the 800 block of Gaffney Highway in Jonesville on April 13.

Money and jewelry were taken during the burglary.

According to the release, Stephenson was charged with another burglary- 2nd degree and petit larceny that happened on April 24 at a home in the 1100 block of Pea Ridge Highway in Jonesville.

Union County Sheriff’s Office investigators were able to recover some of the items taken from both burglaries.

Stephenson was denied bond by the Union County Magistrate’s Office.

According to the release, Stephenson was also wanted by the Chester Police Department for theft of a controlled substance.
