Woman accused of heroin distribution, shoplifting in Oconee Co.

WALHALLA, SC (WSPA) – Oconee Co. Sheriff’s Office said they have made another arrest in Operation Opioid Battle.

Miranda Jean Dixon, 35, of Seneca is charged with Distribution of Heroin.

Investigators said she booked after an investigation into a shoplifting at the Seneca Walmart.

She was charged with one count of shoplifting for that incident and served a warrant for narcotics at the jail.

She is in the detention center on a combined $35,000 bond.

The sheriff’s office said the operation began on July 30 with two search warrants by the sheriff’s office and Seneca Police at two different locations.

One of the locations was on Brookwood Dr. near Seneca and the other on Daniel Ave. in Seneca.

They say the search warrants were based on controlled purchases of narcotics from both locations by narcotics agents from the sheriff’s office and Seneca Police.

The narcotics were heroin and meth, according to the report.
