Woman accused of stealing items from mother in McDowell Co. located

UPDATE: The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said Chanda McFalls, a woman wanted for allegedly stealing several items from her mother on Oct. 6, has been located.


MCDOWELL COUNTY, NC (WSPA) – McDowell County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for a woman accused of stealing from her mother.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, deputies are searching for Chanda Marie McFalls, 28. Her last known address was listed at a home on Styles Drive in Marion.

McFalls is wanted on charges of breaking and entering and larceny.

According to the release, McFalls’ mother, Rhonda Heath, of Marion, reported that her daughter stole hand and power tools, four leather coats, six motorcycle helmets and leather motorcycle chaps — valued at $2,200 — from a storage building on Saturday, Oct. 6.

Anyone with information about McFalls’ whereabouts is asked to call Det. Paul Alkire at 652-2237 or McDowell County Crime Stoppers at 65-CRIME (652-7463).
