GREENVILLE CO., S.C. (WSPA) – A woman barricaded herself inside a home and had at least one gun, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
The standoff happened at Drinkard Court and Shady Pine in Fountain Inn on Sunday afternoon.
Deputies were at the home for a welfare check when they say they heard shots.
They say that’s when they entered the home and found a dog was shot and died.
The woman inside the home was taken to a hospital for an evaluation, according to deputies.
No injuries have been reported.
