Woman charged after drugs, firearm during traffic stop in Oconee Co.


OCONEE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman on Tuesday on multiple charges following a traffic stop.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, a deputy saw a green Chevrolet Tahoe speeding on Highway 130 and executed a traffic stop on Highway 130 near Keowee Place Road.

Once pulled over, the driver of the vehicle got out of the vehicle and told the deputy that she had outstanding arrest warrants and that she did not have a license.

The deputy asked the driver — identified as Lindsay Rebecca Eades, 25, of Walhalla — if there were any narcotics in the vehicle, and she said there was, as well as a firearm.

According to the release, a quantity of narcotics was found, as well as the firearm, during a search.

She was arrested and charged with driving under suspension-2nd offense, and was served with two outstanding Seneca Municipal Court Bench warrants.

The deputy also obtained warrants charging Eades with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine-3rd or subsequent offense, possession of a controlled substance-3rd or subsequent offense and unlawful carrying of a pistol.

Eades was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
