SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – A woman has been charged with arson for a fire at JC Bull Apartments on Marion Ave. in Spartanburg, according to police.

A witness told police that a woman, his step daughter knows named Latoya, came to his apartment at 5:30 a.m. wanting to come inside.

He says he didn’t let her in and she went to the trash to get some papers and set them on fire.

The fire burned through most of the structure on the corner of apartment 36 and apartment 34 was also damaged, according to the office.

Latoya Demetra Foster has been charged with one count of arson first degree and two counts of arson second degree.

The Red Cross is assisting four people who were displaced.

One person was sent to the hospital, according to fire officials.
