GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified a woman who died following a crash at the intersection of Whie Horse Road and Farrs Bridge Road Thursday morning.
According to Coroner Kent Dill, the crash, involving three vehicles, happened around 11:35 a.m. Thursday.
South Carolina Highway Patrol officials said a 2017 Chevrolet truck and a 2010 Honda were stopped in traffic heading southbound on White Horse Road.
The third vehicle, a 2004 Kia, was traveling south on White Horse Road when the vehicle hit the truck on the right side and then rear-ended the Honda.
The driver of the Kia became entrapped inside the vehicle and had to be extracted.
Dill identified the driver of the Kia as Donna Daniel, 51, of Easley.
Daniel was taken to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, where she later died.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday.
The driver and the passenger of the Honda, both from Elizabethton, TN, were were injured in the crash and were taken to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the truck, from Greer, was not injured in the crash.
No charges were filed in the crash.
South Carolina Highway Patrol and the coroner’s office is investigating the crash.
