GREENVILLE CO., SC (WSPA) – The case of a Simpsonville woman who died weeks after she was found with severe injuries in the road near her home has been ruled a homicide.
28-year-old Abigail Ness was found with severe trauma to her body in the middle of New Harrison Bridge Road near Simpsonville on May 23.
Ness was taken to the hospital where she died Wednesday night.
An autopsy performed by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office on Thursday showed Ness died from blunt force trauma of the head and ruled her manner of death a homicide.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office are both investigating the death.
