Woman killed in Laurens Co. wreck identified


LAURENS CO, SC (WSPA) — Troopers say a woman died in a crash on Boyds Mill Pond Road in Laurens County.

The crash happened just after 11:15pm on Saturday.

According to highway patrol, the driver was traveling south when she crossed the center line, over-corrected, ran off the road and hit a tree.

She was wearing a seatbelt but had to be extracted from the vehicle.

The coroner says the woman killed has been identified as 32-year-old Davionica Brownlee of Abbeville.

She died at the scene from chest trauma.
