SPARTANBURG CO., SC (WSPA) – Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office officials said a suspect has been arrested in a homicide investigation that happened in Spartanburg Monday morning.
Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office’s Lt. Kevin Bobo said deputies responded to a home in the 6400 block of Greenfield Road in reference to a domestic disturbance involving a weapon.
When they arrived on-scene, deputies found Anthony Robinson, Jr., with fresh cuts on his hands and he was detained outside of the house.
Bobo said two children were also at the scene and were visibly upset.
The female victim, identified as Ngem Robinson, was found inside the home by deputies and EMS personnel around 7:15 a.m.
Ngem Robinson was pronounced dead from apparent multiple stab wounds. Coroner Rusty Clevenger said his office will complete an exam and report a cause of death later.
Anthony Robinson was taken to the sheriff’s office or an interview, but he then requested an attorney and was taken to the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
An interview with the children, combined with the physical evidence on Anthony Robinson and at the scene, a magistrate judge approved warrants charging Anthony Robinson with murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and two counts of child endangerment.
Sheriff’s Office officials said a motive for the crime is still under investigation at this time.
Robinson is being held in the Spartanburg County Detention Center without bond.
