SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College men’s basketball coach Mike Young has announced the schedule for the 2018-19 season. The schedule is highlighted by sixteen home games at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium, including the season opener against North Carolina.

Wofford will play 18 Southern Conference games this season. With ten league teams, the Terriers will have home-and-home series with each team. Last year, Wofford was 21-13 overall and posted an 11-7 conference mark on the way to an appearance in the CIT Tournament.

β€œThis year’s non-conference schedule will prepare us for the always challenging Southern Conference slate,” said head coach Mike Young. β€œWe always try to play a tough out of league schedule, and this year is no exception with some elite Power Five opponents on the slate. It will give us a good chance to gauge where we are before beginning league play.”

The Terriers tip off the season on November 6 against North Carolina. A road game at High Point and a home contest against Carver College are next on the schedule. Wofford will then take part in four games as part of the Battle 4 Atlantis. Road games at Stanford and Oklahoma will be followed by home games against Coppin State and Mars Hill. Wofford will also host a game between Coppin State and Charleston Southern as part of the tournament.

A road game at South Carolina on November 26 will be followed by the Southern Conference opener as ETSU visits Richardson Indoor. Wofford then makes a first-ever trip to Kansas, who reached the NCAA Final Four last season. A three-game home stand including Kentucky Christian, Coastal Carolina and UNC Asheville is followed by a visit to Mississippi State on December 19 before the holiday break.

Wofford returns to Southern Conference action on December 29 at Western Carolina. Home games against The Citadel (January 3) and Mercer (January 5) and road trips to defending Southern Conference Champion UNCG (January 10) and VMI (January 12) are next on the schedule. The Terriers have there next three games at home, as Furman (January 19), Samford (January 24) and Chattanooga (January 26) visit Spartanburg.

A three-game road swing that includes Mercer (January 31), The Citadel (February 2) and ETSU (February 7) will be followed by another three-game home stand. Western Carolina (February 9), VMI (February 14) and UNCG (February 16) will wrap up the home slate for the season. The Terriers will play the final three regular season games on the road at Furman (February 23), at Chattanooga (February 28) and at Samford (March 2).

The Southern Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin on March 8 in Asheville, with the championship game slated for March 11.
