Wofford Make Schedule Adjustments Due to Hurricane

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Due to the expected impact of Hurricane Florence on the region, several changes have been made to Wofford College athletic events.
The women’s soccer game scheduled to be played at South Carolina State on Friday night has been postponed, with a make-up date to be announced. A decision on the Sunday home match against the University of North Florida will be made later today.
The Wofford Invitational Volleyball tournament has seen multiple changes. North Carolina A&T has withdrawn from the tournament. There will be two games on Friday – Middle Tennessee State will face Gardner-Webb at 4:30 pm and Wofford will then play Gardner-Webb at 7:00 pm. Wofford and Middle Tennessee State will play at noon on Saturday to complete the tournament.
The men’s soccer home game on Saturday against Bowling Green has been canceled.
The men’s and women’s cross country meet at the Winthrop Invitational scheduled for Saturday has been postponed.
The Wofford football team is still planning on leaving on Friday morning for a Saturday afternoon game at Wyoming.
