Gaffney High Hopes Stadium Ready For Game Three

Gaffney High School will again play this Friday at the Old Reservation as the installation of artificial turf continues at the program’s current facility.

As of Wednesday afternoon, about 70 yards of the surface had been put down.

The Indians are home to West Charlotte at 7:30pm. They played their opener against T.L. Hanna there on August 19th.

Gaffney athletic director Mark Huff said Wednesday his hope is the stadium will be ready for the Indians September 23rd home game against Northwestern.

Limestone College also uses the stadium at Gaffney High and a Saints spokesman said Wednesday their fingers are crossed that the turf will be ready for their home opener against Mars Hill on Saturday September 17th.

Limestone has contemplated playing at the Old Reservation, as well, if that’s the only option.
