High School Football

Shrine Bowl players were able to practice outside Tuesday after being confined to a gym due to weathe on Monday.

The South Carolina team, of which about half the roster is made up of area players worked at Spartanburg High School’s gym while the North Carolina squad practiced at a local middle school.

The NC squad will be diminished by the loss of players competing for their respective high school teams in state title game this weekend as a result of another weather event, Hurricane Florence, impacting the schedule in the Tar Heel state.

In the Myrtle Beach area, work continues toward Saturday’s North-South All-Star game.  CCES head coach Don Frost is guiding the North All-Stars this year.
