The Oconee County School Board approved the hiring of David Crane as Seneca’s new head football coach Monday night.

Crane guided Greenville the past five seasons, compiling a 27-30 record.  His 2017 team won 11 games and the program produced Power Five recruits in quarterback Davis Beville (Pitt) and offensive lineman Jimmy Fritzsche (Nebraska) this past season.

Crane is a 1993 graduate of Seneca and played for the Bobcats while also serving as an assistant early in his career under the late Tom Bass.
