Dorman Among Four Area Teams Advancing To Upper State Boys Finals

Dorman’s third meeting of the season against rival Spartanburg went similarly to the previous two as the Cavaliers rolled to a 80-36 victory Tuesday night and are among four area boys teams that will play in The Well this weekend for upper state championships.

The Cavaliers will now face Mauldin for a third time as the Mavericks rallied for a 79-75 victory at Nation Ford.  They face the Cavs Saturday at 6:30pm in The Well.

In 4A, Wren outlasted Greenville, 71-68, to advance to play Ridge View Friday evening after the Blazers ended Travelers Rest’s season, 84-54.

Area 3A (Seneca and Southside) and 2A (SCS and Abbeville) were eliminated. 

In 1A, High Point Acadamy rallied to defeat HKT, 81-71, as the Grizzlies join their girls team in making their first ever trip to the upper state finals. High Point’s boys face Great Falls Saturday at 12:30pm following the High Point girls game against Estill.
