60-foot U.S. Capitol Christmas tree cut down in New Mexico


(CBS Newspath) – A 60-foot blue spruce from the Carson National Forest in New Mexico was chosen to be this year’s U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree.

The tree was cut down on Wednesday and will travel across the country before arriving in Washington, D.C. on November 25.
