HENDERSON CO., NC (WSPA) – Thursday, a group of classic car enthusiasts put out the call for everyone to join them Saturday, February nd for breakfast and a nice chat.
The unofficial group Classic Cars & Breakfast, has been meeting the first Saturday of every month for years.
The group of men, and some women, meet at Dixie Diner from 7:30 A.M.. until 9 A.M.. to talk about everything from classic cars, to car shows, to inevitably the topic: who has the best car.
Bruce Hatfield is the unofficial meeting organizer, according to him, and said the group needs some younger blood.
Hatfield found that younger drivers aren’t really interested in classic cars, and it’s time to change that.
Classic Cars & Breakfast is open to any driver. Enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their vintage automobiles. But, if you don’t have a ride, the group said it’s ok to just come talk and share a hot meal.
“This gives us a chance to kind of get together. Find out what shows are coming up and who wants to go to those shows. Just spend sometime together caravaning to some shows. We like to go down to Greenville pretty often. Especially to Spartanburg, to the Beacon Drive-In. That’s always a great show,” Hatfield said.
Hatfield said one of the other great things about Classic Cars & Breakfast is the all you can eat buffet at Dixon Diner.
