I’m Chris Bainbridge… inviting you to take a ride with me. This is an amazing place to find adventure in all shapes and sizes. Ingles has sent me on a mission to bring you the very best of what our beautiful home has to offer – food, fun, nature music, and more… all affordable, and all out of the ordinary. This is The Ingles Open Road.
Today we’re getting you ready for a good time with one of the best beverages for any season – but especially appropriate when these warmer months roll around. It’s time to raise a grownup glass with one of my personal favorites: Bold Rock Cider.
Bold Rock’s roots began in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. And in 2015 they branched out to this amazing facility in Mills River, North Carolina. This is an wonderful place to come not just for the drinks, but the overall ambiance they’ve created here.
Mills River, North Carolina is located in Henderson County – AKA, Apple Country. In the past we’ve shown off some of the awesome orchards from around here. And that was one of the draws to bring Bold Rock to an area famous for its apple festivals. The cider company partners with local apple farmers to bring that fresh, fabulous flavor to its many amazing beverages.
In addition to the fantastic offerings you can find on the shelves at Ingles, Bold Rock has a huge variety that you can sample here on site.
And not only that, you get to see how it’s done. This place is first class production all the way – and it’s really cool to see it in action.
There’s no better way to finish off a tour of this amazing facility than with your own guided tasting. From the traditional standby’s like my personal favorites Carolina Apple and Premium Dry. There are also creative seasonal varieties like this Pineapple and Blackberry ready to tempt your pallet.
The Bold Bites Mobile Kitchen offers freshly prepared food daily. So, you can pair some craft vittles with your craft cider.
And the expansive Cider Garden ensures plenty of space for guests to spread out and relax.
This is a gorgeous spot to hang out with your favorite friends and favorite drinks. It’s a bucolic setting here in the stunning Mills River Valley that’s waiting for your next outing.
If you want a more urban Bold Rock experience, you can take in their brand new cidery in downtown Asheville.
But I love the calm country escape of this amazing campus in Mills River.
So, hop in the car and plan your trip to a fun destination with a great story and delicious drinks. You can plan your visit online at BoldRock.com. And get ready to raise a glass with friends. Your weekend is waiting… on the Ingles Open Road.
