SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Wednesday, the city of Spartanburg annouced details for the 41st annual Spring Fling street festival in downtown Spartanburg.
Spring Fling will run from April 26 through April 28. Street festival officials said the event will be bigger and better than ever, with 200 vendors and five different stages for musical acts.
Spring Fling Special Events Coordinator Mandy Merck said this festival is the largest one in the Upstate.
The event will cover several blocks of downtown, reaching from Daniele Morgan Avenue to Converse Street.
“It has been going on a long time and when Spring Fling started, 41 years ago, city council came together. Downtown Spartanburg was a ghost town and they were like, ‘We need to something to get people downtown,'” Merck said.
Festival organizers said there is something for everyone at this the three-day event:

Friday, April 26: 5 p.m – 10 p.m.

Saturday, April 27: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Sunday, April 28: 12 noon – 6 p.m.
